Agartala is happening

It is high time to re-think and setup new businesses at Agartala as it has both quality manpower and the required environment. Agartala will be an ideal option for BPOs and MNCs provided they are willing to contribute towards the development of the state. Communications with Bangladesh is also going to be very vital for trade and commerce to flourish. Many of the qualified, experienced and skilled young people who have already relocated to Bengaluru and Kolkata may come back provided they get a proper platform to work on. And the students pursuing higher education will get an opportunity of developing their own identities while staying in their hometown. Finally it is the Government of Tripura who has to take initiatives in coordination with the Government of India for a better future of the people of this part of the country who in turn will have to apply, experience and share of what they know for their own benefit.

The indulgence of being superior

The best is the one who can even sacrifice himself/ herself for the sake of the organization, not the one who scarifies the interests of the organization for his/ her own benefit or feeling of insecurity. You cannot ignore the platform where you are standing and all your activities should contribute towards the development of the platform which in turn will make you better. It is the balance between the right and the wrong decisions that you make which will be the deciding factor of your personal development in the long run. Every game is ultimately a new game and every project a new experience.

What it takes

It is the wisdom of a person and the brand image of an organization that counts on top of everything else. A business without ethics is like a person without a backbone. Neither experience nor qualification can save us from the difficult situations in life if we are not prompt in learning from the events of life or are able to find out what and where the problems are. Money cannot be the reason behind everything that people does because it is merely an alternative where a direct exchange of goods or services is not possible or is not equivalent. It is always better to do what is correct irrespective of its nature and learn from everything that happens in everyday life for our own benefit.

Think of yourself, live your life

We don’t exist on earth as an isolated identity as many factors including our family platform, socio-political situations and personal relations with others matter a lot. We have to take responsibility related to anything and everything of our life to become successful and achieve personal growth. Considering everything that happens to be affecting us in whatever way, we have to concentrate on our education, career and establishment in the best possible way so that we can stand on our own feet and do something important to make a difference.

Start healing our cities now

Kolkata’s green cover is 66% less than what is required for metro cities and everybody here is feeling the heat now. Every single family staying permanently in all cities should plant at lease 5 trees in a year in the land provided by the government if they don’t have the space required to plant the trees in their own land. It is high time that the government takes serious steps to work on a solution that can heal our cities from environmental pollution.

Degrees doesn’t certify credibility

Credibility of a person cannot be certified by formal degrees and certificates which is the most important criteria for committed performance. A person who doesn’t stand on his/ her feet can be of enough trouble for all including the employer. An open and logical mind which is willing to know the world around us is more important than a person having bookish knowledge. Sincerity, capability and commitment of the employee are very vital for gaining trust and confidence of the employer for critical projects.

Open platform for all

Any state can give preference to its local residents but any kind of discrimination just because of regional differences should not be entertained. West Bengal is probably the only state in India which can be considered as an open platform for all; although voting power makes all the difference for the minorities. Every state has its own character which plays a vital role in its development. There is nothing wrong when everything is going well but it needs united effort of the people of this country to recover from natural calamities, epidemics, economic crisis, damages done by war or to transform India from a developing country into a developed country within the next twenty years.

Turning around…

I have started working at the age of 21 and after 10 years I see myself in a much better position than where I was. Within the last 10 years, I have completed 7 years work experience mainly in the IT/ ITES sector. After passing my secondary examination, I opted for science stream though I was more interested in writing poems and reading novels. That was a very crucial time of my life as I gave priority to my hobbies and interest and ignored my career. But after that, time has taught me to be practical and made me responsible enough to take care of my finances. This has created a strong base for me from where I can restart my journey of life. I am expected to live for another 40 years within which I need to plan very well to lead a happy life. Everyone should have an aim and ambition and when I think of my future, I think of innovation that can make a difference.

A move in the right direction

The people of this country will lead a happy life when they will be able to identify what they really wants to do, how their purpose is meaningful and what benefit it will bring to others. They should have the required skills, knowledge and support to execute their planning and everyone should cooperate with each other to meet their respective goals. The first step in this direction is to provide quality and meaningful education to all so that the people gets knowledgeable in their respective choice of careers. India will gradually move towards becoming a developed country and will be able to contribute a lot in shaping the future of this world.

Slow but steady succeeds in life

The journey of life is such that it is too long to complete at a fast pace. If we are moving forward in the right direction than long-term planning will be required to achieve our objectives. It is like test cricket where a moderate and steady strike rate helps to make centuries. Moving too fast will make us tired and we may eventually start wasting our time in unnecessary activities. It is therefore preferred to be slow but steady to succeed in life.

Education is nothing but an advantage

Education is something that requires proper family background and parental support of which many are deprived. Therefore it is the domain for a privileged few as the majority never thought of their child’s future. The credit is more on the parents than the children for their education and wellbeing. A person who is well educated represents a family which is stable and responsible.

Why do we work?

We work to earn a living so that we can survive. But our respective careers should also meet our personal interests so that we can enjoy what we do. Careers in the organised sector should have performance standards as well as growth plans to retain its employees. An organisation should first take care of its own employees before it can really concentrate on its customers’ needs. Proper career counselling is required to identify our strengths and weaknesses so that we can choose our careers accordingly to avoid wastage of time.

How much we can own

Few people owns their homes only, few people moves a step forward and owns their offices also, few people owns their respective States as well as per the current newspaper headlines and the majority owns the entire country. There are some people who think on behalf of mankind on planet Earth and there are some who finds the entire universe not sufficient for survival in the long run. Individually we can be the owner of a few properties but to consider this country as our own, we should take responsibility for everything related to India. On the other hand, every individual has their own world that exists within their own minds. We all are different in terms of our lives, experiences and identities that helps us to perceive the same world differently.

Life has its own formula

Agartala is my birthplace and I am happy to be back to my hometown. But still it is not yet time to stay here permanently as I need to go out for work to Kolkata. I will be here for another 4 ½ months during which there is a lot to do. Hopefully everything will go well during this period and mark the beginning of a fresh start in my life.

Where Are You Going?

Sometimes it is our destinations that separate us. All of us have our individual planning for life that takes us to different places. Therefore irrespective of the relationships between us, it will not be possible for everyone to stay together forever.

Your license to work

Degrees and certificates are your license to work. The conventional system does not count experience on top of academic credentials and hence no matter how smart you are at work, it will be difficult for you to apply for a promotion or new job without academic ‘qualification’. So, you have to go back to the universities and apply for a course that is relevant to your career. As the universities do not have direct interaction with the industries therefore most of the time what you learn doesn’t fit relevant at your workplace. So you have to re-learn everything as per the need of the hour to keep yourself abreast with the changing times.
